Kindred Spirit

Friday, 29 April 2022

TICKET info

Contribution based event

We believe in our people of Aylesbury and Bucks. When they visit us, they can (and they will, I’m sure) show their appreciation to the Artist and Venue Appreciation Fund which means, they can contribute ‘to the pot on the spot’. Please bring cash.

It is experimental, but we had so much negative response about the ticket prices so we decided together with some of our former and future musician that we need to try how it can work.

We all (venues and musicians) rely so much on You people, we should be in save hands of the
‘Great Community of the Live Music Lovers’.

The Kindred Spirit Band in The Petri Dish again!

The Kindred Spirit Band are a five-piece, featuring the “perceptive and intriguing” songs, “haunting and beautiful” voice and rhythm guitar work of Elaine Samuels. They are known for weaving thrilling electric violin or guitar and flute or sax with compelling and uplifting stories, driving bass and drum rhythms and two female vocals. They have been performing and recording albums as a band in this form, since the early 2000s and have performed at some prestigious venues and events, such as Liverpool’s Cavern Club, Weyfest, A New Day Festival and HRH Prog Festival. They have been embraced by the prog rock world, with features in Prog magazine and Classic Rock Society’s magazine.

The Kindred Spirit Band has been compared to Fleetwood Mac and Renaissance, with the female vocals, of Elaine and Stevie, electric guitars, bass, drums, lovely harmonies and catchy and “perceptive and intriguing” original songs. They also feature brilliant flute and saxophone  playing from Stevie and thrilling duelling between her wind instruments and Piers’ electric guitar!
