MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID SESSION
ADULT

We are greatly proud to work together with Ali Johnson who decided to hold her MHFA sessions here at The Petri Dish. Our passion about the importance of mental health is so strong.

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. Mental ill health can strike at any time and can affect people from all walks of life.
Although things are improving, stigma still exists around mental ill health. As a society, we don’t tend to know how to take care of our mental health like we do our physical health. This means that people may not know how to support a friend, family member or colleague experiencing a mental health issue, or where to go for support with their own mental health.

Ali Johnson is one of the first in England to become an MHFA Instructor, She is a gold star, experienced trainer. Regularly delivering MHFA to prestige corporate clients, She also very much enjoy delivering to smaller organisations and communities.

She has a strong and diverse background in healthcare, training and holistic therapies and spent 10 years working in addictions (dual diagnosis). She has being a Reiki Master practitioner and EFT practitioner. She hold a City & Guilds Further & Adult Teaching certificate, enhanced DBS and am fully insured.

Her passion is to encourage and support individuals to further their knowledge and self-understanding, whilst increasing their ability to support others, raise awareness and overcome stigma.

When not working She regularly practices Meditation, Reiki and Yoga, and love to spend time with her family, walks with their dog and on creative pursuits.

Full Brain (Two Hemisphere) Drawing Class

Amaze The Artist Within – Whatever your current level of artistic ability, or age, discover this astounding methodology; it’s called the Hussar method.

In two short days, your art won’t just look better. It will look really great! You’ll learn a revolutionary drawing technique. You will consciously develop your mind and talent in a way that can be mastered by anyone. Your success using this technique is 100% assured!

How does it work? It targets the faulty patterns of the brain’s left hemisphere, which is responsible for professionalism, among other things, and the right-brain-rich vision. The Hussar method develops the brain at such a high level. It synchronizes the two hemispheres of the brain. “Internal consciousness” determines the worldview and perception of all people; even people considered “born talent” can only acquire this with decades of learning. Unfortunately, most people are not able to do so throughout their lives.

In just a few years, more than 7,000 students have experienced the effectiveness of the Hussar method, which enables anyone to learn how to draw lifelike, photo-realistic portraits, even by heart.

It’s not your drawing skills alone that will improve. Enhance your ability to learn. Super-boost your creativity in all aspects of your life. The Hussar method even has a healing effect on patient recovery.

This incredible two-day course provides 18 hours of quality training for just £300, with a money-back guarantee!

Mental Health First Aid Session
YOUTH

We are greatly proud to work together with Ali Johnson who decided to hold her MHFA sessions here at The Petri Dish. Our passion about the importance of mental health is so strong.

One in ten young people experience a mental health issue at any one time. Suicide is the leading cause of death for those aged 5-19.
In an average group of 30 15-year-olds:
Seven are likely to have been bullied
Six may be self-harming
One could have experienced the death of a parent
Record levels of young people are struggling. Academic pressure, social media, bullying, poverty, lack of availability of professional mental health support – all have been named by various sources as contributing to this epidemic of poor mental health in our young people.
It’s clear that young people are not getting the support they need. Key figures in a young person’s life – parents, family members, teachers, tutors, carers, youth workers – can often spot when a young person is struggling but may not know how best to help.

For all the curious minded kids in Aylesbury and around!

We have limited places to attend in our Science Club on Friday the 30th at 11AM.

£4 per child admission.

About STEMIC:

We are a STEM club for 8 to 16 year olds, our goals are to inspire a generation of scientists and engineers, and to provide deep understanding of STEM topics through hands-on applications and experiments. Our passion is to see children succeed in education.

Our coaches come from various engineering, scientific and technology backgrounds and range from teenagers to seniors.

STEMIC is about Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Innovation and Creativity, because we believe that imagination is vital for progress.

In our Introduction to Air sessions, we build and launch paper rockets, use fizzy tablets to add some ‘pop’ to our day, and knock down pyramids with an invisible force, all in a safe and controlled environment.

This session introduces Pressure , Newton’s laws, and Forces.

Stay curious!
